Explain the fixture’s job in the store
State whether the item is a presentation table, wall bay, counter, showcase or campaign prop. Describe the merchandise, expected loads, customer access, repositioning and cleaning. Identify whether the piece is freestanding, connected to other units or fixed to the building.
Provide the destination and any store constraints that affect dimensions or packing. A finished unit may fit the sales floor but not the access route. Where local structural, accessibility or electrical approval is required, identify the responsible designer and applicable project inputs.
Distinguish a reference image from a controlled drawing
Give overall dimensions and units, then mark visible faces, openings, shelf positions and interfaces. Use revision identifiers so a later image does not silently supersede an approved drawing. Where a 3D file is available, clarify whether it describes visual intent or a reviewed manufacturing model.
Separate material construction from surface appearance. A metallic finish does not specify solid metal, and a wood-look image does not identify the substrate. List preferred materials and the alternatives that may be proposed for review.

| Materials & finishes | Substrate, visible finish, colour and physical sample requirements. |
| Assembly | Knock-down or assembled delivery, fixings, tools and instructions. |
| Commercial scope | Quantities by version, sample or development items, destination and quotation basis. |
| Packing | Surface protection, carton identification, spare parts and store grouping. |
Connect the sample to production and packing
Use the sample to review appearance, joints, access and agreed assembly, not only the front view. Record which details are approved and which require revision. A requested change to a finish or fixing should be reviewed in the affected parts before production release.
Ask what the quotation includes: development, samples, hardware, spare parts, protective packing and any assembly support. Hyaline can coordinate sourcing and order-specific checkpoints. For mannequin form development and specialist display manufacture, the King Stream guides provide a separate technical reference rather than proof that Hyaline owns every production process.
Buyer questions
Can I start with a sketch instead of a production drawing?
Yes. Include intended use, dimensions, quantities and references. Mark the details that require development so a preliminary quotation is not mistaken for approval to manufacture.
Does a finish sample approve the whole fixture?
No. Record separately whether dimensions, materials, joints, assembly, function and packing have been reviewed. Appearance approval is one part of the release record.
